Intro
Welcome to Moorgate Villa - on payment of your final balance you will receive instructions on how to find Highgate Park and the Villa. We have a lockbox for the key and the codes for both Highgate and the villa will be sent to you.You drive straight to the villa.
We have tried to think of everything to make this a welcoming and enjoyable place to stay during your time in the Orlando area. All linens and towels are provided though we ask that you do not take them out of the villa.
Out of respect to all our guests we ask that you do not smoke in the home (only on the lanai) and that you leave your pets at home - we love our labrador, but she does shed hairs!
The villa is close to the theme parks (ask us about short cuts to Disney), shops, restaurants, golf courses and is ideally placed to explore the rest of Florida. Easy access to the east and west coasts. Florida is about so much more than the parks that we always manage to see something new each time we go.
We offer a fully automated booking system and all money is paid into a bonded client account until after your stay. We accept most credit and debit cards. We can also accept cheques/checks or direct payment in our US or UK accounts in certain circumstances.
We want you to have the time of your lives in Florida - so feel free to ask anything at all that you want - we offer a very personal service and we get to know our guests. You are very important to us.
Swimming Pool
The pool and spa area is fully enclosed by a screen to enable you sit out or swim without the bugs attacking you. A safety fence (required by law) stops small children getting in the pool. The swimming pool and spa can be heated during the winter months (for a supplement) and we also have a solar cover at this time which keeps in your precious heat to make sure you can swim when you want and we strongly recommend that you use it. In September 2009 this whole area was extended so that you have even more sunbathing space. This makes it one of the few pools in the area that have sunbathing/lounging areas all around the pool. Great for keeping an eye on the children. Planting is now all around the pool area - for privacy, all year round colour and interest.
Lounge / Great Room
This fantastic room was the main reason we chose this particular model of home. It is a very welcoming friendly area with direct access out to the pool. There is a fully fitted kitchen with all you need to help you prepare any sort of meal- and two dining areas, a formal area and a breakfast nook. The seating area has a cable TV and a games console.
Garden
The whole of Highgate Park is landscaped by a professional landscape company. As soon as you arrive at the gates and they glide open you realise that a great deal of care and thought has gone into this development. New plants and trees are being added each season to add to this enjoyment. Between the homes to the rear there are large green areas so that you do not feel on top of one another. Many developments would have had an extra row of homes on this area but your privacy is respected by this sympathetic layout.
We have burford holly, bulbine, allamanda, ruella , agave and pampas grass in our planting - chosen to give year round interest to the guests and the beautiful butterflies.
Master Suite
The master suite has a king size bed and direct access out to the pool area. There is a walk in closet and a huge master bathroom . A Hairdryer is supplied. It also has its own cable TV.
Bedroom 2
A queen size bedroom this time with lots of closet space and this room is adjacent to the family bathroom so it might as well be en-suite. We find in practice that this is what happens. Own cable TV
Bedroom 3
The tartan bedroom - named after the pattern on the bedspreads, with dark furniture this has a slightly masculine feel.Twin room with lots of closet space again and own cable TV. The twin rooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom between them - again thoughtfully divided so the maximum number of people can can ready at the same time - very important if you are getting to the parks early. We now offer an option for children of Toy Story bedding in this room - just ask at time of booking
Bedroom 4
The flamingo bedroom - again named after the pattern on the bedspreads. Twin beds again but with lighter furniture this room has a more feminine feel. We now offer the choice of Disney Princess bedding as an option in this room - so go on - make a little girls dreams all come true. Own cable TV
Games Room
If you get bored with the endless sunshine or swimming in the pool you have a great choice in the games room to keep you occupied. A pool table, foosball table, air hockey, electronic basketball and darts should be enough to keep everyone happy. For the less energetic there is a table and stools so you can cheer on the players.
Baby Facilities
We have a pack and play crib - ideal for sleeeping in or using as a play pen out by the pool. We also provide a high chair and we have a number of strollers (pushchairs) and a changing mat. We alsio have a bed rail for the slightly older child - a door gate to stop them wandering and of course a pool safety fence ras required by law. All these facilities are provided FREE of charge
Local Amenities
Highgate Park has its own tennis court and a newly upgraded childrens play area. Suitable for all ages of children As well as the normal play tower we have swings, a "sunshine castle" and Dumbo and Space Shuttle spring riders.
Highgate Park takes your safety and security very seriously and we have regular security patrols.
Prices Info
Our rates vary from £440 per week to £600 - but we always offer early and late booking discounts. If you book more than 20 weeks in advance or less than 4 weeks you get a 10% discount on the rate. Minimum stay of 4 nights - maximum stay - as long as you like!
Our website details the seasons but we strongly advise that you book early and save if you are intending to travel in the school holidays. Easter, Christmas and half term holidays get booked up first.
We require a 25% deposit to secure the booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before departure. Full terms and conditions can be found on our website.
Pool heat @ £10 per day.
A security deposit of £200 is required with balance - this is fully refundable once the management company have checked that there is no damage. In most instances people pay a £25 damage waiver insurance - but this is not refundable.
Cancellation terms are set out on the website but we are always willing to provide paperwork for any insurance claim. In light of recent events may we suggest you top up your insurance with the "Independent Traveller" option to insure the components of your holiday. It is not expensive.
