Highgate Park is located almost exactly 8 miles away from Disney and so this offers you very short travel times to the land of the Mouse, the benefit you also get from Highgate Park is that you can get to Disney without need to go on the I4 (Interstate) that can get very busy at certain times of the day.
The grounds of the estate are immaculately manicured so as soon as you arrive you are sure to feel relaxed (yes even after a 10 hour flight), you will see the large green expanses, the tennis court, the security entrance area, which is beautifully lit at night and makes coming home in the dark such a welcoming experience. You will also be able to see the children play area offering families travelling with smaller kids the chance to let them any energy that they may have brought home with them after a day in the park.
About and around Highgate Park there is a 24 hour supermarket (Walmart - these are generally massive and should be all you need) only 2 miles away up the US27 (dual carriageway), or even a Publix only 1 mile away. For those wanting to get takeway food, there is a lot of takeaway outlets at the junction of the 192 and US27 (nearly 2 miles away) and so this will offer a great selection of food options such as the US norms of McDonalds, KFC as well as steak restaurants and even some pretty mean pasta restaurants and so well worth a visit.
Most of the food location even if appearing to only be a restaurant will typically offer you a take away facility and so can collect the food on the way home and then relax the evening away! For those wanting to play a great round of golf there is the Highlands Reserve Golf course only 1 mile away and with it being one of the most popular courses for visitors is it definitely worth looking at.
Getting to the villas from the airport is nice and easy due to its locations through the use of the a toll road (a few dollars, but worth it) and this means that Orlando International (MCO) is only 45mins away, Sanford International (SFB), where most charter flights arrive, is only just over an hour, but with its location you can even fly into Tampa (TPA) offering a similar transfer time as Sanford.
