Orange County National golf course – When looking for a place to get away from the harsh cold winter in England to play some golf my sights turned to Florida and I wasn’t dissapointed! I stayed in Orange Blossom Road in Orlando and was surrounded by golf facilities and golf courses. With the weather at 20 degrees I set off for Orange County National golf course, the host of the finals of PGA Tour school and was amazed by what I arrived to.

As I drove in my bag was taken out of my boot and on to a golf cart whilst I changed my shoes and I was ready for off as soon as I got out the car. I played on the Panther course and it lived up to all the hype. The range is a kilometre across and is an amazing practice facility. I was treated superbly throughout the day hardly lifting the finger. It’s a challenge for every level of golfer varying from 7300 yards to 5500 yards! I would heavily advice visiting Orange County National as you are guarenteed a fantastic day out on 2 amazing golf courses with plenty of character.

Highlands reserve golf course is located on the lush lands in the highest part of Florida meaning that in this relatively flat state there are some great views to enjoy whilst having a great round in the Florida sunshine.
The 18 hole par 72 Highlands Reserve Golf Course was designed by Mike Dasher and has tree lined fairways, reminiscent of the Carolinas
The course has fast undulating greens making the usual challenge on the greens even more so.
This course offers full rental for clubs and carts so that you do not need to take your own clubs if space is limited, they also have a driving range and a cafe and bar. They often have offers available if you pre book your round as well as having a number of tournements on.
