As I am sure it is clear we here at Florida Premier Villas are complete Florida nuts and every now and again I try and reign myself in about the fact that many people have not been as lucky as us and have not had the opportunity to go. I think the thing for us is that we have been to Florida as young people wanting a blast as well as a family experience but the nice thing is that this all works really well.
The memories that I have of Florida, people will always say are “through rose tinted glasses” and there will be an element of this, BUT looking back over the times I have been to Florida I still cannot think of something there that I did not like or that wound me up. The things I remember most are often not even in a specific park or doing one of the things that people concentrate on when going to Disney but many are the small things. For example I still have a great memory of a family breakfast we had at the iHop on the way to a park as the picture to the right here of my son as a dog utterly exhausted is burned into my brain. He was of the age where he had endless energy until he stopped and then you can see what happened!!
There are many parts of a Florida Holiday for me I always remember staying in a villa with a pool (we always had a 4 bed villa as the prices were almost the same and the space was nice) and more importantly cooking a BBQ next to every evening to have my New York Strips!
I do of course have a few other moments that were captured in a photo that I think make a clear example of why I love going there, one of these is a picture of me (they are few and far between) holding my son on the boat going across the Disney lake to the Magic Kingdom on day 1. This was our boys first trip to Disney, his first view of a park was on a boat and getting closer and closer to the iconic castle knowing that this WAS Disney. That picture, even now 4 years later almost brings a tear to the eye of a truly fantastic holiday!
A Florida holiday is not just about the short time you are there but all the time planning and then all the memories!
