For space buffs, there is Cape Canaveral, which is located near Orlando. This is where all the space shuttles have taken off and landed. Many people have been lucky enough to be there for a shuttle take off. There is a visitor centre located out of the boundaries of the NASA facility. One of the highlights of the visitor centre is the exact replica of the NASA control facility. One can almost imagine what it was like in the first days of space flight. Moving on from here it is very easy to reach Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. This park is a treat for everyone. There are animals and wild theme park rides, as well as live entertainment and experienced guides who give nature talks.
Key West is known for its balmy climate and laid-back lifestyle. It is also home to rare American crocodiles that can only be found in this region of the country. Another famous attraction is Everglades National Park, which is located on the very tip of the southern section of Florida. It is situated about 20 miles east of Biscayne National Park. The Everglades are one of the largest wetlands in the world. Now we move on to the most famous attraction in Florida, which is of course, Disney World. This theme park resort has it all. Once you enter the gates of this park you have everything you could possibly need in a vacation. There are hotels and restaurants and, of course, Disney World itself. The many rides and the sheer size of this park make it almost impossible to see everything in one day.
Another great attraction in this area is the Epcot theme park. This is part of the Walt Disney Resort and gives a look into the future. The most memorable object in the park is the huge geodesic sphere that houses the futuristic innovations that we might expect. This theme park is dedicated to different regions of the world and has realistic looking copies of famous landmarks in cities around the world. These different country pavilions have restaurants that allow you to eat the food native to the country.
