Ihop (The International House of Pancakes) is a great eatery to try and last time we went to Florida we spent a good few meals there. If you have not had an American style pancake then they are a treat in my eyes. The pancakes are about 4 inches across and about 3 times the thickness of what the British would associate as being a pancake but they are quite fluffy, I want to say that they are quite light but they are not! For some unknown reason they do insist on having a blob of butter on them and I am not sure of the idea of that and can assure you that mine is immediately removed. As far as I am concerned that is just wasting perfectly good space where there should be maple syrup.
Now, as you can imagine this is not a great place for those looking to lose a pound or 2 but I would also say that Florida (or in fact the US) is not a great place for doing that as you can assume portions to be generous and hence feeling rather bloated after pretty much every meal! But when going to an iHop do nto even try and be healthy, just accept it as being an unhealthy day and get on with it 
Wherever you are you seem to be pretty close to an iHop as in the US they are rather like McDonalds over here! As an example within 25 miles of Orlando city there are estimated to be 22 branches of iHop with many of the them open 24 hours so that when you wake up in the middle of the night with sugar withdrawal you know where to go!!
The International House of Pancakes does not only sell pancakes is something I should mention! There is a good menu to satisfy the whole party and against the logic of their name they do indeed offer pancakes as well as soups and burgers and fry ups. We tended to use ihop as our place to go when we wanted a naughty sweet snack or a quiet sit as it is a nice calm eating experience, good service and some great pancakes. It is a popular option for breakfast, but as with anything in the US you need to be able to get it 24 hours a day and so if fried breakfast and pancakes is you think – Welcome – You have arrived
