The I-95 (or Interstate 95) is a road that runs through Kissimmee and to the Disney area that is lined with restaurants, fast food outlets, shops and the best gift shops for buying the best tacky gifts you could ever want to find. One of the great things about Florida is the cheap and cheerful restaurants that you can get nice food at a tiny price. I-95 has plenty of these as well as the more expensive restaurants. The OutBack is a must for all steak lovers. I am not one myself but my husband certainly is one and he rates their steaks very highly!
If you are looking for tacky gifts then I-95 has it all. One of the shops has a giant mermaid on the roof!! The range of items that you can buy in these shops is enormous. You can obviously get all sorts of Disney merchandise from key rings to clothes to cuddly toys but there is so much more. Random shell arrangements, glass dolphins, novelty mugs, baseball caps, posters, fridge magnets, more key rings to name but a few. They also sell a very good line in amusing and sometimes rude tshirts. It is unlikely that you will actually purchase these tshirts but they are hugely amusing to browse and there is a good chance you will know someone back home that would one would suit!!
Whatever your views on tacky gifts and funny shops, you have to let the fun wash over you and just enjoy the completely american experience of the I-95.
