Halloween in Florida

halloween horror nights universal Halloween in FloridaThere are a great selection of times when it is fun to be in Florida, and yes I know it is always fun to be in Florida but this is about Extra fun! Halloween is one of those times. In England we don’t really do Halloween, in America they really do do Halloween and in Florida with the parks, as you can imagine they go a bit further!!!!!!

Halloween this year in Florida consists, as normal, of events in each of the main theme parks where you can take your families along and chose quite how scared you want to make them all. This year just to give you am idea of what there is out there for both the brave and the terrified you have got

  • 21st Annual Halloween Horror Nights2011 at Universal Studios Orlando – At Universal you get the event that is billed as the Nations Premier Halloween Event and as a company that makes movies including a few of the scary variety it is a fair bet to say that their events are not for those not prepared to terrified!! The events are marked as ill-advised for kids under 13! With “The Thing” coming out in the cinemas shortly there has unfortunately been an escape of the Monster at Universal Orlando!! Featuring the undead from the Second World War with a few grudges, do you dare take on the maze in the dark?? If that wasn’t enough the maze keeps changing, there

    will be no easy way out and never know what is round the next corner!! – Definitely one for the adults!

  • At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay there is Howl-O-Scream (even their website is scary ) – This is not one for the kids and also not for the faint of heart!! For those that like their scare movies and events then this is the place to go. There is a lot of the Zombie in Busch Gardens for the Halloween nights and so be prepared. One of the warnings that have dared to release is “The scare is everywhere you turn in the Dark Side of the Garden. Watch your step because you never know where the undead may be lurking”. Are you brave enough for this one?
  • Seaworlds Halloween Spooktacular has 10 dates through October this year with their event starting at 12 noon. This is a themed time offering kids and adults alike the chance to get painted up into some of the scary spooks. Also they are charged with helping Shamu to get a smile onto the Jack-o-lantern at his show. With other goolish shows to be viewed as well there is a goulish time to be had with the Sesame stage show as well.
  • Disneys Magic Kingdom is the home to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party,this is a an optional extra at the park with an additional ticket required and is actualy available on special dates between September and November. The party offers the opportunity for people of all sizes to dress up in their favourite Halloween costumes and collect delicious candy (sweets icon smile Halloween in Florida ) as they go trick or treating around the Magic Kingdom (you never know who you might find.)Whilst there you are able to Mickeys Boo to You Halloween parade where lots of characters are allowed out to play, most of them from the Haunted Mansion – so be prepared… Also with a special fireworks display and the park all turned into a mystical place it truely will be a spooktacular!!!
