There are so many different reasons and benefits of renting a Florida Villa direct from the owners for your dream Florida Holiday. Some are more obvious than others I think personally and my wife I am sure may come up with a few different but as people that love going to Florida and also love staying in Florida when we are there

1. Routine – It is like staying in your own home except better. The thing that works the most for me is that you get to keep your own routines and space. The last time especially that we went to Florida with the 3 generation Florida holiday it was perfect as it meant that when we got home with a small boy that needed to sleep he could still continue having his normal bedtime routine with dinner bath and bed and so there were no problems with his sleeping.
2. Swimming Pool – Not much needs explaining about this one! I accept that hotels have swimming pools as well and that they are enormous however they also have a hundred other people in them as well. A private swimming pool in your Florida villa is a fantastic treat and a massive part of the holiday. The end of a hot long day, needs a cool private pool!

What car to hire in Florida

One of the less obvious things about going on holiday to Florida is the chance to have a different car! We have all seen the movies and it appears that all cars are rear wheel drive and slide round corners and that they are massive!
It is fair to say that many cars over there are indeed large and heavy and are less than great with regards to fuel efficiency but that said fuel in the US is decidedly cheaper than over hear. I therefore tend to try and get a car that is a bit more fun than we have over here in the UK. When selling a car hire in the UK travel trade staff are told to ask the customer what car they drive now so as to chose something comparable as people often tend to be price interested only as it is just another expense on the holiday.

Suggested Itinerary For a 14 Day Holiday

Having done a good number of holidays to Florida we realise that having a rough idea of what you want to do on each day is a good way of making sure you get time to do all the amazing things you want to do. I am not saying it is something that needs to be stuck to regardless but having a rough idea we find makes things easier.

The below is a possible Itinerary for a 14 day holiday:

Day 1: Arrival. Other than arriving, finding your car hire then finding your villa, that will be pretty much it for that day. If you do get the time then take a trip to your local supermarket to get some supplies so that you can start tomorrow feeling fairly organised.

We took friends on our honeymoon

Being true Florida lovers, having had our first holiday in Florida and engaged in Florida when we got married and the idea of a honeymoon came around the location was not a tough one. Having been to the Maldives before we thought that was an option and it would be the idyllic honeymoon location as the brochures will show, but then we thought if we were going to spend some money on a holiday it should be to the place that we love the most. There could only be one answer to that one! Florida.
However as we thought about it and how Florida holidays are, we thought it would be good with the 2 of us but it would be more fun with some friends and so we decided to make the most of the different areas of the state.
So we knew the people that we wanted to ask, having been with them before and knowing they are just as childish as we are. Fortunately they were keen to come to and so the plans were drawn up. As this was a honeymoon we started hunting for a 5 bed luxury villa even though we only needed 2 rooms so that we can slob in the space and benefit from a larger pool.
This worked really well as we were with good friends and in the best place in the world. We all flew out together, picked up matching convertibles (different colours so we did not get confused) and spent
