Top 10 Reasons To Book A Florida Villa
There are so many different reasons and benefits of renting a Florida Villa direct from the owners for your dream Florida Holiday. Some are more obvious than others I think personally and my wife I am sure may come up with a few different but as people that love going to Florida and also love staying in Florida when we are there
- Routine – It is like staying in your own home except better. The thing that works the most for me is that you get to keep your own routines and space. The last time especially that we went to Florida with the 3 generation Florida holiday it was perfect as it meant that when we got home with a small boy that needed to sleep he could still continue having his normal bedtime routine with dinner bath and bed and so there were no problems with his sleeping.
- Swimming Pool – Not much needs explaining about this one! I accept that hotels have swimming pools as well and that they are enormous however they also have a hundred other people in them as well. A private swimming pool in your Florida villa is a fantastic treat and a massive part of the holiday. The end of a hot long day, needs a cool private pool!
- Space – Something I have never quite understood about staying in a hotel is once you have put the kids to bed at the end of a great day. What do you do next? With small kids they can’t be left of course and so you are trapped in a room with them every night and there are only so many times you can say don’t they look sweet. For those just going as a couple a room could work for you a bit more for you but can’t help but think that a hotel room is rather sammy!
- Escape – Days in Florida can indeed offer you some of the best days of your life I believe but then on the down side, everywhere that you are, so are loads of other people. It is not to be underestimated that it is nice to

- Price – There are a couple of reasons why it is better from a price perspective to be booking a villa rather then a hotel, the first is that if you are looking to have 2 rooms in a hotel then the price for the 2 rooms is likely to cost more than a 3 bedroom Florida villa!! Often a villa can even be cheaper than 1 room in a hotel but look at all the space that you get for it!
- BBQ & Kitchen - This is a big one for me being the BBQ aholic! A good part of my holiday is having a BBQ some nights as it is like a UK version of a BBQ except you can do it in the evening and it is lovely and warm. Also I would have to recommend trying the New York steaks you can buy from Publix as the ones we were having were awesome! This of course come in tandem with have a Kitchen which should not be overlooked. Of course you can argue some are wanting to get away from a Kitchen but that doesn’t mean that someone else could just be in charge of it!! The kitchen offers you of course the chance to eat what you want when you want to!!
- Car Parking – This is a slightly strange one but it is lovely to come out in the morning or home in the evening and pull into a drive rather than driving around another car park to find a space and then have to walk a good distance to make it back to your room.
- Snacks and Meals – Throughout the day and evening you have snacks and bits and pieces. With a villa you can have some elemnt of normal life as you can buy in goodies and snacks to make the most of the supermarkets and then take them with you. This as a parent of a small child you know is invaluable as it means you can supply food as required when in queues! Also it opens options to great ideas such as having freezing cold drinks – They can then put them in a freezer and so always have an ice cold drink in your bag! In the evening when yu want a quick snack there can be ice creams in the freezer and crisps in the cupboards.
- Relaxation – After a busy day at the parks, the beach, shopping or whatever other fantastic things you chose to do it is important to make the most of some quiet time so that you can recharge for the next day. One of the things that makes this possible is the opportunity to keep life simple. Staying in a hotel means that food is made (and paid for!) for you which is nice but it means after a long day in the park you then have to walk back to your room, then walk to the restaurant to eat, then walk back to your room whilst encountering lots of people along the way! Some of the hotels in Florida though are something a bit different and special and so I think it would be great to experience them but personally would not want to stay for more that 2 or 3 days. With a villa, when you are home you are home and everything is within a few steps! A sofa ,a tv, a computer, a swimming pool, a fridge and freezer with your favourite things in them……
- Independence – Do what you want, where you want, when you want! – Not much more to say about that!!
